Proper technique of the left/right hand and body posture are essential tools for beginners and advanced alike, for better and steady improvement. although the main focus of the course will be classical music adapted for guitar, different genres could be covered alongside (flamenco, pop, Latin, blues, oriental). Students will learn how to read music notation, play classical pieces, play chords of songs, learn melodies and songs by ear. course requirement : Students should be 10 years or above. Since a lot of genres use the guitar as a main or a secondary instrument in different situations solo, small bands, big bands, and orchestras. This course offers very diverse subjects and will be customized to each student upon his style of preference. Whether playing electric or acoustic fingerstyle guitar, all students should have a very firm theoretical, technical, and guitar knowledge. A wide range of styles are included : Pop - (any of the student's favorites songs or artists) Classic Rock - (Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Scorpions, Metallica, Iron Maiden) Blues Guitar - (B.B.King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton) Jazz Guitar - (Charlie Christian, Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, Pat Martino, George Benson) Students will be taught how to read notation (optional), music theory and harmony, and how to apply scales, and chords.
